The Sheriff’s Office is holding a free OHV Education Course on October 16th. The four hour course is designed to give riders the basic skills necessary to safely operate an OHV. Utah law requires youth ages 8 to 15 to complete a Utah Division of Parks and Recreation off-highway vehicle (OHV) or snowmobile education course before operating on public lands, roads or trails. It is illegal for any child under the age of eight to operate an OHV or a snowmobile on any public land.
Some of the topics include OHV law in Utah and proper safety equipment. Students will take a written test and upon successfully passing the test, they will be sent a valid OHV safety certificate for the State of Utah. Class size is limited, so register early on our website.
