On November 8th, 2025, the annual Battle of the Badges Chili Cookoff was held. Waking up early, our combined team of Deputies and civilian staff members came out to cook. They knew there would be some stiff competition this year from St. George Police Department, St. George Fire Department, Washington City Police Department, Washington City Fire Department, Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue, Utah Tech University Police, and others. Chef Hensley delivered some amazing chili, and under his direction, we were able to serve up to the public and judges chili we were very proud of. With the hard work of everyone involved The Washington County Sheriff’s Office took home the awards for Judge’s Choice and People’s Choice. We appreciate everyone’s support for the Washington County Children’s Justice Center. All proceeds and money went to them.
