Most will remember the damage caused by the Santa Clara flood of September 11th. Additional damage ensued following the failure of the city dike. Many businesses and homes were destroyed as a result of these free flowing waters. Response groups assisted in minimizing the damage, and then again later in the clean-up effort. Purgatory Correctional Facility responded to the incident early on, with inmate work crews and other support equipment. Sheriff Cory Pulsipher himself directed this project. Read more →
