On September 8, 2012 at 9:00 am, the Washington County Emergency Services Division will hold a preparedness expo which is free to the public. This year’s Expo will highlight what you can do to become better prepared for a disaster, offering information ranging from food storage on a budget to using social media community in an emergency. Information will be provided using both continuously running demonstrations and scheduled breakout sessions. This year’s keynote speaker is David Heaton of the Southwest Utah Health Department, who will be speaking on using “Warning Stones and Block Parties” to enhance preparedness. Read more →
