The Salt Lake City Division of the FBI, sponsored by the St George Area Bomb Squad, is conducting a free seminar for business owners, security managers, safety managers, and other individuals responsible for purchasing, selling, managing and/or maintaining chemicals and other industrial supplies. Any public or private entity with an interest in the threat posed by improvised explosives may attend.
The seminar will include lectures and presentations covering weapons of mass destruction and improvised explosives. There will also be a demonstration designed to underscore the potential danger of chemicals, both in the hands of terrorists as well as juvenile experimenters.
There is no cost to attend, but participants must be registered. To register, please email Mary Cocks at mary.cocks@ic.fbi.gov. Be prepared to provide company name, your name and title, mailing address, work telephone, cellular telephone and e-mail address. Each attendee must register and may not register others. Attendance is restricted and space is limited. Attendees will be sent a confirmation e-mail once their information has been confirmed. Questions can be directed to SA David McKean at (801) 579-1400.
The seminar will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2012, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, located at 750 South 5300 West, Hurricane, Utah.
