The Sheriff’s Office is sponsoring a relay team for the Baker to Vegas Law Enforcement Relay Race next spring and needs your help to get started!
Team members will run 120 miles from Baker, California to Las Vegas, Nevada next April in the largest worldwide law enforcement event of its kind. The Sheriff’s Office team will include law enforcement members from St. George Police Department, Washington City Police Department, local Federal Marshals, Utah Highway Patrol, and the Washington County Attorney’s Office.
Teams from Calgary, Canada, RCMP both men and women, Berlin, and Hamburg, Germany as well as the United States will participate. Since it began over 20 years ago, the Baker to Vegas Law Enforcement Relay Race has sent hundreds of thousands of law enforcement personnel treading across the desert for teamwork, physical fitness and competition.
The costs for the team include a $2,000 team registration fee (due September 5th), food for approximately thirty people for three days, team uniform shirts, and fuel for transportation.
