Utah State Courts Online Court Assistance Program- Filing for orders of protection may be done online. If you need assistance filing the order or have questions, please contact Amie Whipple at 435-656-6505.

(OCAP) https://www.utcourts.gov/en/self-help/services/ocap.html You will create a username and password. Then choose your desired protection from abuse (Adult protective order or Civil Stalking Injunction) You will be directed to register for My Paperwork, once you’ve registered you will begin the interview and complete a series of narrative questions to auto fill the paperwork for you. When you are finished download and save the documents to your desktop as a PDF and email them to stgprovidereports@utcourts.gov In the subject line list your name and protective order. In the body of the email list your name, phone, address and email address.

The court will email you when and if the Judge approves the temporary order. It will include a date for the initial hearing. Please email me amie@washeriff.net the date of the hearing if you would like my support in court.

Utah Legal Services 435-628-1604, after the Protective Order is filed contact Utah Legal to complete an intake with them to qualify to have them represent you free of charge at the protective order hearing.

Utah Office for Victims of Crime Reparations: Apply online, if approved they may cover the cost of mental health services, medical bills related to the crime, replacement of doors, locks and windows and reimbursement of relocation costs up to $3,000.00

The Dove Center is the local Domestic Violence Shelter, and they offer many services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. They offer mental health services, outreach case management and shelter. Tel: 435-628-1204
