On May 19th, the Purgatory Programming Department hosted the John Houston Gospel Choir in an uplifting outdoor musical presentation. With a crew of thirteen, this semi-professional group played to over 80 inmates for almost two hours. The John Houston Choir is well known locally for their talent and ability to bring humility and a special message to their audiences. Without a doubt the inmates who attended likewise felt this energy. Sheriff Pulsipher and Chief Deputy Schultz both attended and commented that this event likely set the tone for future presentations to certainly include again, the John Houston Gospel Choir.
