The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is gearing up to host their annual Citizens Academy. The Citizens Academy will be held Thursday evenings from September 6th through October 25th, from 6 pm – 9 pm each night. Sheriff Pulsipher and his Administration will kick off the first evening with a warm welcome.
The Citizens Academy is an opportunity for members of our community to get a first hand look at the Sheriff’s Office day to day operations. Some of the areas to be covered will be Emergency Services, Search & Rescue, Investigations, SWAT, Crisis Negotiations, Jail tour, Firearms, Patrol, County Attorney’s Office, Courts, Drug Court and much, much more.
Applications can be found HERE or on our Sheriff’s Office website under Programs and Services. The Citizens Academy has space for 40 qualified applicants. Please read the application to confirm that you qualify for the program. Members of our Citizens Academy will be encouraged to go out on a ride-a-long with one of our deputies.
