Washington County Sheriff’s Office Honors Employee of the Quarter and Newly Certified Staff

On August 2nd, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office honored Deputy Tisa May as our Employee of the Quarter for the second quarter of 2016 (April-June). During that time, Deputy May excelled at many of her operational duties, not the least of which was her searches. During the quarter, Deputy May’s searches yielded, among other things, drugs, drug paraphernalia, weapons and alcohol. Additionally, several of Deputy May’s investigations, as a member of the Correctional Intelligence Unit, resulted in criminal convictions. Deputy May also expanded her efforts outside of her normal duties by way of a number of significant collateral assignments and duties. She has consistently shown herself to be a valuable asset to the Sheriff’s Office, and we would like you to please join us in congratulating Deputy May and in recognizing her for her efforts.

During the same ceremony, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office also officially welcomed their newest certified deputies. Deputy Kyle Maddox, Deputy Samantha Record and Deputy Steven Shumway recently were certified as law enforcement officers in the State of Utah. They all accepted the oath of office and were sworn in during the ceremony by Sheriff Cory Pulsipher. We are extremely excited to welcome them to our law enforcement community.
