Sheriff’s Office Physical Fitness Program

In October, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office wrapped up their annual Physical Fitness Program with their Fall testing session. Nearly 100 staff members participated in the various events , all geared to measure their overall strength and fitness. These events included the bench press, the vertical jump, sit-ups, push-ups and a 1.5 mile run. The nature of these testing sessions has grown more competitive each year, and the overall winners for the year will be announced soon.

However, the winners for the Fall session have already been determined. The Fall winner for the male staff was Lieutenant James Standley, while the Fall winner for the female staff was Deputy Ali Snow. This most recent testing session also yielded nine staff member who reached the department’s “ELITE” physical fitness standard and another 25 staff members who reached the department’s “SUPERIOR” physical fitness standard.

Please join us in congratulating all of the staff for their achievements and their overall commitment to physical fitness.
